Comedian and cancer patient.
Ben has been performing stand up comedy since his debut in 2012 and has gigged on the Warsaw circuit as well as at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and across Ireland, including multiple appearances at the Trinity Fringe Festival.
After over a year off, Ben made a return at the beginning of 2016 and was having his most productive year to date until being diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma in April.
He then started his blog, Stage Four Chancer, which takes a humourous spin on the story of his illness, attempts to make it as a stand up comedian, his use of and decision to campaign for access to medicinal cannabis.
Fresh off the back of what is hopefully his last bout of chemotherapy, Ben joins the Trinity Summit to speak about his journey, how medicinal cannabis has helped and is continuing to help him fight cancer and why the Irish Government need to provide access to medicinal cannabis for those who need it.
